Ruth Monicka Parasol in 1997 founded PartyGaming Plc, the parent company of online poker site PartyPoker.com, which went public on the London Stock Exchange in June 2005. Subsequently in 2010 PartyGaming merged with Bwin Interactive Entertainment AG forming Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment Plc of which she remains today the single largest individual stakeholder, although not active in management since 2006.
Ruth is considered one of the world’s wealthiest self-made women. Since the IPO, she has been primarily focused on her young children, home and establishing her private offices and developing its global investment mandate. She also spends a great deal of her time and effort on the Bonita Trust as an International Advisor guiding its philanthropic objectives and execution.
Ruth was born a multinational in California and was raised in Mill Valley. She obtained a B.A in Business from University of San Francisco in 1988 and a J.D. from Western State University College of Law in 1992.
