The Mann Deshi Business School for Rural Women Development provides skills, knowledge and motivation to women with no formal education and to girls who have dropped out of high school, combined with micro-finance, enabling them to start micro-enterprises and become self-sufficient. |

The Mobile Business Unit targets rural women in remote areas whose mobility is restricted by their financial situation, geographical location, and/or cultural context. Mann Deshi Udyogini teaches women vocational skills that they can turn into micro-businesses as well as the financial know-how to make their businesses successful. |

The Business School for Rural Women Development and Mobile Business Units have been immensely successful, producing nearly 16,000 graduates and roughly 11,500 new businesses. The new Mobile Business Unit, operating in Maharashtra will be closely connected with Mann Deshi’s Karnataka location as well as the other stationary business schools in Maharashtra. This will help to form a solid network of Mann Deshi locations that will eventually expand throughout India with Mann Deshi Mahila Bank, providing both financial services and the skills necessary to utilize those services to their maximum capacity.
