FIBA U16 European Championship In June 2008, Gibraltar played host to the FIBA (the International basketball Association) Europe Basketball Championships. As the local team’s main sponsor, The Bonita Trust sponsored the event attended by teams from Andorra, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, San Marino, Scotland and Wales.
