Philanthropic Trust

The Bonita Trust is a philanthropic trust established under Gibraltar law in 2004 by a subsidiary of PartyGaming Plc, prior to its London Stock Exchange flotation in 2005. The Trust is served by an International Advisory Board whose first member was Ruth Parasol.

Bonita has focused the majority of its community grant-making in the United Kingdom, India, Afghanistan, Israel, and Gibraltar and has since inception, donated over £12.5 million pounds to charities leveraging technology to deliver programmes in the areas of education, health and entrepreneurship. The Trust also works with both urban and rural communities at a local level through its Community Funding Programmes.

The Bonita Trust Technology Umbrella Fund provides technological expertise in order to help charities promote themselves on the internet and increase their reach, and therefore their delivery of support.

As an independent philanthropic trust, Bonita is managed by a professional Trustee, who is advised by an International Advisory Board and the Bonita Trust Project Management Team.

Our vision

Our vision

The Bonita Trust was founded in 2004. Bonita's community endowment results from a personal commitment by its principals to help communities address some of the important health and education challenges facing them, leveraging new technologies and Internet-based solutions. Through its charity giving, Bonita is dedicated to tackle these community challenges.

Based in Gibraltar, the Bonita Trust is committed to enriching the Gibraltar community community through community endowment programme for educational, cultural, health and community projects. In addition, the Bonita Trust’s international charity giving projects features three main fields of emphasis: Prevention and Treatment – we have a deep desire to help tackle some of the World's health challenges;

  1. Enterprise and Education – extending access to education through technology and the Internet and developing and supporting the emergence of women entrepreneurs;
  2. Culture and Heritage – building on Bonita's contribution to protecting Gibraltar's heritage and culture.
  3. Reflecting its heritage, Bonita focuses on community endowment programmes that use technology and the Internet to deliver their benefits to communities. In whatever we do, we are committed to making a tangible impact at the community level.
